Data We DO NOT Collect
As of October 2025, we NO LONGER collect the following data:
- ❌ Steps or physical activity data from Health Connect
- ❌ Heart rate data
- ❌ Calories burned (active or total)
- ❌ Distance traveled
- ❌ Exercise or fitness tracking data
- ❌ Body temperature from Health Connect sensors
Why? We removed these permissions to focus solely on reproductive health tracking and respect your privacy.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and improve our comprehensive reproductive health tracking services across all life stages
- Generate personalized cycle predictions, ovulation forecasts, and pregnancy insights
- Provide AI-powered health guidance and answer your questions through our chat assistant
- Calculate medical-grade metrics (kick counts, contraction patterns, fertility windows)
- Deliver mode-specific features (TTC tracking, pregnancy tools, PALS support, perimenopause management)
- Send you personalized notifications, reminders, and health alerts
- Enable community features and forum participation
- Process premium subscription services
- Provide compassionate support for pregnancy loss through PALS resources
- Comply with legal obligations and protect user safety
Health Data Protection
Your health data is extremely important to us:
- We use industry-standard encryption to protect your data
- Health data is stored securely and separately from other information
- We never sell your personal health information
- Access to health data is limited to authorized personnel only
- You can delete your health data at any time
- We comply with applicable health data protection laws (HIPAA, GDPR, etc.)

Pregnancy Loss Data - Special Protections
We understand the sensitivity of pregnancy loss information:
- Pregnancy loss data receives enhanced privacy protections
- You control visibility settings (hide from timeline, pause predictions)
- Loss data is never shared in anonymized research without explicit consent
- Support resources remain accessible even if you choose to delete loss records
- You can transition out of PALS mode or clear loss data at any time
Data Retention & Account Deletion
Active Accounts:
- Your health data is retained as long as your account is active
- You can delete individual entries at any time
- You can export your data before deletion
How to Delete Your Account:
- In-App (Immediate): Go to Profile → Account Settings → Delete Account
- Email Request: Send request to support@ovuloom.com (processed within 30 days)
- Web Form: Visit ovuloom.com/delete-account
What Gets Deleted:
Upon account deletion, we permanently delete all cycle data, fertility predictions, pregnancy tracking, health logs, account settings, AI chat history, and community forum posts.
Your Privacy Rights
You have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of your personal data
- Rectify: Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
- Delete: Request permanent deletion of your data ("Right to be Forgotten")
- Portability: Export your data in a machine-readable format
